Instructor shows plant specimens to 色色福利社 students during herbarium tour at Missouri Botanical Garden.

Students in the Intro to Botany course at 色色福利社 recently visited the Bayer Center at the Missouri Botanical Garden to connect classroom learning with real-world plant science.

The field trip included Biological Sciences majors and students from other academic programs across the University. At the Bayer Center, students examined botanical research collections in the herbarium, often called a 鈥渓ibrary of life,鈥� and toured the rare book room, where they viewed centuries-old texts documenting the evolution of botanical science.

This immersive experience highlighted the value of field-based learning and the connection between historical and modern approaches to plant studies.

色色福利社 encourages experiential learning through field trips, research projects and interdisciplinary collaboration. These opportunities give students meaningful ways to apply academic knowledge in professional and community-based settings.
