Designed for teachers who want to help non-native English speakers develop their use of the a foreign language, the Graduate Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) guides students in becoming the educators who make a difference.

Graduate students in the TEFL certificate program learn about second language acquisition, curriculum development and language cultures. With a selection of elective courses, they also have the opportunity to study language history and linguistics.

TEFL Points of Distinction

  • Instructors have master's degrees, most in TESOL/TEFL. Many work as a teacher trainers, and have years of experience teaching English both in the U.S. and abroad.
  • Many technological tools are available for language learning, including blogs, electronic classrooms, online discussion tools and video and audio equipment.
  • 色色福利社's global context allows interaction with learners from around the world through online education and/or by studying at one of the university's many international campuses.
