The faculty at ɫɫ¸£ÀûÉç’s Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Arts work one-on-one with each
student to create a personalized plan of study. Every student will receive instruction
focused on their interests and goals, while giving them various opportunities to perform.
As a graduate student, you will have opportunities to work as a solo pianist, as well
as gain experience playing alongside peer musicians and faculty to broaden your performance
experience while developing a network with other musicians.
Students will also study the historical, aesthetic and theoretical frameworks that
inform and shape different musical genres and cultural styles. The curriculum is designed
to challenge and enrich students' musical study, giving them the practical experience,
tools and skills required of professional musicians.

When you study as a graduate student in the Department of Music, you will have access
to merit-based scholarships, such as the Buder Foundation Scholarship, which is available
to graduate students after their first year. For more information, interested applicants
